About Coach Pam

Employees are caring for aging parents, sick children, and struggling spouses. And they’re doing it quietly, until burnout forces them to step back or leave their careers.

Caregiver burnout isn’t just personal. It’s a workforce retention crisis. Working caregivers miss an average of 1.2 workdays per month, and turnover can reach 60–80%. The cost to organizations is significant.

The cost to the caregiver’s identity, health, and livelihood is even greater.

I know this because I lived it. For over a decade, I managed medications, appointments, and emotional emergencies while working full-time. I gave so much to caregiving that I slowly lost sight of who I was outside that role.

That experience now shapes every coaching session, workshop, and conversation I lead today. I’m an NBHWC-certified health and wellbeing coach with 20 years of supporting others through burnout, boundary-setting, and identity recovery. It began as supporting friends, church members, and acquaintances with heart-based coaching upon request.

After certification, I stepped into coaching full-time. Not with surface-level self-care. Not with generic wellness advice. But with sustainable strategies that protect both the caregiver and their ability to work, live, and care long-term. I have been featured on The Fairy BOSSmother Podcast and in FORCE Magazine.

Who I Support

  • Working family caregivers, exhausted from doing it all
  • Healthcare organizations focused on the retention and well-being of their caregiving employees
  • Teams and leaders who are carrying invisible caregiving responsibilities in addition to supporting their team members.
  • Family caregivers who had no choice but to put their careers on hold.

What Makes My Approach Different?

Caregiving doesn’t end because we want everyone to get well. Often, that’s not even an option on the table. For example, medically challenged children, their parents become caregivers for life. For other caring people, once they become a family caregiver for one family member, the daughter, son, granddaughter, or grandson are repeatedly tapped for the caregiver role by their families. No other family member even considers stepping up. Often, the prevailing attitude is that their default person for the job isn’t good enough for anything else.

This means that solutions that benefit the caregiver and the person in their care cannot be “just take a break.”

As such, my work focuses on:

  • Boundary setting without guilt
  • Identity recovery within and beyond the caregiving role
  • Experiential experiences to solidify discoveries
  • Sustainable emotional resilience building (not burnout cycles)
  • Retention-aware caregiver support for organizations

Coaching Systems

I am the creator of the Refocus 4 Self™ coaching system for caregiver burnout, The Caregiver Peaceful Path: Reframe, Recharge, Rebalance™ for group coaching, the Caregiver Flourish Intro Triad™ for those too overwhelmed to commit to more, the Caregiver Clarity & Renewal Membership™ for continued support via text or voice, and my customized Mini VIP Day tailored for each caregiver as an individual.

I am the owner of The Working Caregiver Hub skool, a community for family caregivers and Power of Attorney decision-makers. Having a community of like minds offers my caregivers different perspectives on caregiving.

Coaching Scope of Practice Overview

I am trained to work with individuals and groups in a client-centered process to support health and well-being from a caregiver perspective. I am an expert on behavior change and holding space. I possess the skills required to create a safe place for caregiver employees to reconnect to their inner wisdom. This reconnection empowers family caregivers to maintain their health and well-being so that they can continue offering care to others. My coaching process empowers individuals to draw on internal strengths, develop self-knowledge, and embrace strategies for making lifestyle changes necessary for moving forward toward their future self-vision. In this capacity, I do not prescribe, diagnose, treat, or interpret results; instead, I guide, educate, support, and hold others accountable to their commitment statements in their transformation journey.

Mission Statement

To help family caregivers feel seen, supported, and whole again. So that they can care for others without losing themselves, and so organizations can retain the people quietly holding everything together. With a lifetime of self-development, adult training expertise, holding space for others, and an empathic nature, it is my life’s calling to help caregivers discover their inner wisdom and reidentify with their authentic selves. The result is to help my caregivers not just survive caregiving, but to thrive in their role for as long as it needs to be.

What Clients Say About Us

I couldn’t have asked for a better coach. Pam was extremely helpful and gave me the encouragement that i needed.

qoutes

Working with Pam was a pleasure. She doesn’t judge you. I felt I could be totally honest, good bad or indifferent. Which I think is really important. If you’re not honest, you won’t receive the maximum benefits.

qoutes

I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but I knew I needed to make changes so I thought I would try. I am so glad to have been able to work with Pam. I have learned about nutrition that my body needs and the amount of times I need to chew my food. My most important take away was to love myself and I can do what I set my mind to. My goal was to mow my front yard and I was able to accomplish that. I couldn’t have asked for a better coach. Pam was extremely helpful and gave me the encouragement that I needed.
