Adversity is part of life. We get to choose how we perceive it. We can allow the resulting chaos to destroy our confidence and our understanding of who we are as a person, or we can prepare/plan what our reaction might be in such a situation. Whether it’s a parent experiencing a major event with a child, siblings experiencing a major health event with an elderly parent. receiving notice of a sell-out of your apartment building leaving you with no place to live, or being chastised by a supervisor/major client, adversity is hard. That is, unless we change our perspective from fear and chaos to one that sees the opportunity in whatever the unforeseen event may be.
